Rejoicing & Reflecting

--

Welcome to December, Shades readers!  It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of the year and headed into a new decade.

Who can remember the anxiety we all felt with ‘Y2K’ at the beginning of the 2000s?  We know we can and that is now 20 years ago…time has flown by at lightning speed.

December is always a fun month – full of activities and preparation for the holidays but also full of introspection at the year that is winding down.

As we head into the holiday season, we have to remind ourselves that amid all the hustle and bustle, the holidays are about friends and family and making and keeping connections that fill us.

The gifts, the stocking stuffers, the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, all of that consumerism, while great for the economy, isn’t what is at the heart of the season.

So with that said, we want to find out – what are your holiday plans?  Will you be hosting dinners or being great guests?  Are you planning to travel this year?  What are you most looking forward to, both for the season and the upcoming new year?

Let us know!

The Shades team is very excited for 2020!  We have more events planned to connect people through experiences and we can’t wait to share!

Have a great week, everyone!
